Vikas Industries has been a professionally managed global leader in acquiring, processing, and marketing psyllium since it was first established in 1982. Located in Siddhpur, Gujarat, India, the company has a longstanding tradition of fostering strong relationships with quality psyllium crop growers in the region, which is the largest producer of psyllium in the world. The processing plant is situated in an area that generates over 80% of global psyllium seeds, allowing Vikas Industries to select the finest raw materials.
In April, during the new harvesting season, the company assesses the psyllium cultivated areas and sources the highest quality, fresh psyllium seeds with the assistance of their botanical team.
The raw materials are graded, processed, and inspected by the Quality Assurance Team before being packed and distributed based on customer demand.
Our Commitment to Excellence
We have a Quality Assurance department dedicated to ensuring that products meet CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), SSOP (Sanitary Standard Operating Procedures), HACCP, and ISO standards.
Random samples undergo scientific testing at each intermediate stage of processing. Intermediate products are only utilized for further processing and final packaging after receiving approval from the Quality Assurance department.
Materials are selected for processing based on the first in, first out (FIFO) principle. Strict hygiene practices and care are upheld throughout the processing period, and fumigation is performed (following the guidelines of Pest Control of India) before packing to avoid contamination.
